About These Terms

These terms set out the rules for using hotels.tools, a free website that needs no account. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Use of Tools

The calculators and content are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice. You are responsible for verifying inputs and outcomes before making decisions.

Tax and Legal Content

Pages that cover taxes, per diem rates, fees or legal rules give general information. They are not tax or legal advice and do not take your situation into account. Ask a tax adviser or lawyer before you rely on them for a filing, a contract or a price you publish.

Rates and Third-Party Figures

Tax rates, per diem rates, commission ranges, benchmarks and other figures change, and many come from third parties. They may be out of date by the time you read them. Check the current figure with the authority or company concerned.

Availability and Accuracy

We take care with the site, but it is free and provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete or always available, and we may change or remove tools at any time. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected. Our liability is governed only by the next section.

Limitation of Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee or fraudulently concealed a defect.

For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to foreseeable, typical damages. Essential contractual duties are those that make proper use of the site possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely. Liability for loss of data is limited to the typical restoration effort that would have been required if backup copies had been made regularly. These limits also apply to our representatives and vicarious agents.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Ads come from third parties, and we do not check or endorse what they offer.

Content and Brand Names

The text, calculators, code and design of this site belong to us or our licensors. You may use the tools and quote or share results for your own work, but you may not copy the site or large parts of it for republication without our written permission.

Third-party brand names, such as those of booking platforms, belong to their owners. We use them only to describe what a tool covers. Unless we say otherwise, we are not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.

Third-Party Links

The site may link to third-party services. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Changes

We may update these terms, for example when the site or the law changes. The current version and its effective date are always on this page. Changes do not apply to your use of the site before their effective date. If you do not accept a new version, you can stop using the site at any time.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply to you.
